Terms and conditions

The terms and conditions of Pražská paroplavební společnost a.s. govern the mutual rights and obligations of the contracting parties arising in connection with a purchase contract concluded between the seller and the buyer through the online shop on paroplavba.cz.

I. General provisions

  1. These terms and conditions (hereinafter "T&Cs") govern the mutual rights and obligations of the contracting parties arising on the basis of a purchase contract concluded between the seller and the buyer through the seller's online shop.
  2. The seller is a legal entity acting in the course of its business activities. Identification details of the seller:

  3. The customer of the online shop is the "Buyer". In view of the applicable legal regulations, a distinction is made between a buyer-consumer and a buyer who is not a consumer.
  4. Buyer-consumer is a natural person who is not acting in the course of business activities.
  5. Buyer-other person is a person acting in the course of business activities; the provisions of Art. V of these T&Cs do not apply to them and they are governed by the Commercial Code.
  6. The subject of the purchase contract is the goods and services specified in the binding order confirmation.

II. Conclusion of the purchase contract

  1. The online shop contains a list of goods and services including prices with VAT; the offer is non-binding and the seller is not obliged to conclude the contract.
  2. The online shop contains information on packaging and delivery costs valid within the Czech Republic.
  3. To place an order, the buyer fills in the form with information about the goods, method of payment and delivery (the "order").
  4. Before sending, the data may be checked and changed; the order is sent by clicking the "Complete order" button; the seller will send confirmation of receipt by e-mail.
  5. The purchase contract is created upon delivery of the seller's acceptance; the buyer confirms agreement with the T&Cs.
  6. Costs for distance communication tools are paid by the buyer.

III. Purchase price, method of payment

  1. Prices are stated including VAT; they do not include packaging and shipping unless stated otherwise.
  2. Together with the price, the buyer pays the costs of packaging and delivery.
  3. Methods of payment: cash on personal collection / cashless payment by payment card / cashless transfer to the account specified in the order confirmation.
  4. Cash and cash on delivery are payable on receipt; bank transfer is payable within 7 days of conclusion of the contract.
  5. For cashless payment, the variable symbol must be stated; the obligation is fulfilled upon crediting of the amount.
  6. The seller is a VAT payer; the tax document is sent electronically.

IV. Withdrawal from the purchase contract

  1. The consumer has, in accordance with the applicable legal regulations, the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receipt; the withdrawal shall be delivered to the address of the establishment or to the e-mail pps@paroplavba.cz.
  2. The contract is cancelled from the outset; the goods must be returned undamaged, unused, in the original packaging and at the buyer's own expense.
  3. The seller has 10 days to inspect the returned goods.
  4. The seller will return the funds within 30 days of withdrawal by cashless transfer.
  5. If the returned goods are damaged, the seller has the right to compensation for damages.
  6. Specific conditions apply to tickets for a specific date and time of cruise — please address non-attendance immediately at pps@paroplavba.cz.

V. Transport and delivery of goods

  1. The seller will deliver the goods within 10 days of conclusion of the contract; for advance payment, the period runs from the crediting of the amount.
  2. The method of delivery is determined by the seller, unless agreed otherwise.
  3. The goods may be delivered to a location, or for personal collection at selected establishments (information at +420 724 202 909).
  4. Upon receipt, check the packaging; report defects within 2 days.

VI. Liability for defects, warranty

  1. The warranty for the consumer is 24 months from receipt; it is exercised at the address of the establishment.
  2. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or defects for which the price was reduced.
  3. The seller is not liable for defects caused by transport by the buyer or by improper handling.
  4. Colour and structural differences in natural and textile materials are not defects.

VII. Complaints procedure

Send the goods being complained about to the contact address (transport is paid by the seller), complete, clean, with proof of purchase and a description of the defect; do not send cash on delivery. The buyer will receive a complaint protocol; defective goods will be replaced or the price will be refunded. The buyer will be informed about the handling of the complaint by e-mail or SMS.

VIII. Personal data protection

The processing of personal data is governed by a separate document Privacy policy.

IX. Final provisions

Relations with an international element are governed by Czech law. The seller does business on the basis of a trade licence. An invalid provision is replaced by the closest valid one. The seller has the right to unilaterally amend the T&Cs; the version in force at the moment the contractual relationship arises is decisive.
