Privacy policy

This document describes how Pražská paroplavební společnost a.s. (also referred to as "PPS") handles the personal data of its customers, website visitors and contractual partners. Your privacy is a priority for us — we process only the data we genuinely need, for the necessary period and in accordance with GDPR.

2. What data we process

Identification and contact data — name, surname, e-mail, phone number, possibly billing address.
Order details — type of event, number of guests, date and time of the cruise, selected boat, price, method of payment.
Communication history — content of e-mails and messages from contact forms.
Technical data — IP address, browser type, information about website visits (cookies — see below).

3. Purpose and legal basis of processing

Performance of the contract — processing of orders, arranging the cruise, invoicing, communication about progress (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Compliance with legal obligations — issuing accounting documents, archiving in accordance with tax laws (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Legitimate interest — protection of property and operational safety, evaluation of website traffic (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Consent — sending commercial communications, marketing cookies (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

4. To whom we transfer the data

We do not pass your data to third parties except for:

providers of payment and accounting services (limited to the necessary extent),
providers of IT services and website hosting (contractual processors bound by confidentiality),
public authorities, where required by law.

We do not transfer data to third countries outside the EU.

5. Retention period

order data — for the duration of the contract and subsequently for the statutory archiving period for accounting documents (10 years),
data from contact forms — a maximum of 3 years from the last contact,
data for marketing purposes — until consent is withdrawn.

6. Your rights

In accordance with GDPR you have the right to:

access your personal data,
have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected,
erasure (the "right to be forgotten") under the conditions stipulated by law,
restriction of processing,
data portability,
object to processing,
withdraw consent at any time (withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out so far),
lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.cz).
