The steamboat Vltava celebrated 80 years

For the 155th anniversary of the launch of the Pražská paroplavební společnost, which — like the 80th anniversary of the steamboat Vltava entering service — fell on Wednesday 26 August 2020, we prepared a surprise for you! On the route to Prague Zoo, the motor boat Odra was replaced by the very steamboat Vltava, which on this ceremonial occasion also sailed via the Libeň harbour, where she was built. Everyone enjoyed the cruise tremendously, and the trip was furthermore complemented by an engaging commentary on the history of the Pražská paroplavební společnost and the history of the waterway in Prague.
