Exhibition "The Art of Steam Navigation on the Vltava" coming soon

The Pražská paroplavební společnost, in cooperation with the National Technical Museum in Prague, has prepared an exhibition titled The Art of Steam Navigation on the River Vltava 1865–2015. The ceremonial vernissage of the exhibition will take place on 16 June in the Transport Hall of the National Technical Museum.

The exhibition itself can be visited from 17 June to 28 September this year. The exhibition will be a tribute to 150 years of passenger waterway transport on the Vltava.

At the exhibition you can see models of steamboats, but also a number of documents, film footage and a gallery of paintings on the theme of steam navigation on the Vltava, including, among others, works by famous painters such as Jakub Schikaneder, Bohumil Kubišta, Josef Šíma and others.
