About Pražská paroplavební společnost

Pražská paroplavební společnost (PPS) has a long-standing tradition in passenger water transport. It was founded in 1865 by Prague mayor František Dittrich and is one of the oldest purely Czech companies still in operation.

It operates two historic restaurant paddle steamers, Vltava and Vyšehrad, which were declared cultural monuments in 2013. Both steamboats are fully restored and still in service, and have become a popular venue for company and private events.

Our mission is to care for both historic steamboats so that the magic of steam navigation can be enjoyed not only by today's visitors but also by future generations in its most authentic form.
